Jerry Braklow, President / CEO:

Jerry's daily emphasis is on strategic planning and overall company growth thru finance, development, lender relationships, plan design, and process management. Known for his ability to turn ideas into a reality, he started out his construction career in the insurance restoration industry, restoring structures that suffered from emergencies as a result of fire and water damage. After spending eight years as the President / COO of ServiceOne Corporation in Kansas City, Jerry realized his true passion was in architectural detail and custom home design. He has always surrounded himself with an incredibly talented team of managers and skilled craftsman that all share in his passion for construction. He's known for being easy to talk with, punctual, and doesn't cut corners.

As a Kansas City native for over 30 years, Jerry grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and earned a Bachelor's Degree in International Marketing from Kansas State University. Jerry is a private pilot that enjoys trips with his family to the Lake of the Ozarks. Currently, Jerry serves on the Board of Directors for the Home Builder's Association of Kansas City, 2017 Parade of Homes Committee Chairman, and Board of Directors for Value Clean Industries. Jerry, his wife Kristen, and three children reside in the Mills Farm Subdivision in Overland Park, Kansas.

Joe Ackerman, Vice President Construction Operations:

Joe is responsible for providing leadership and management to our production staff by emphasizing expedite service, quality control, warranties, permitting process, and purchasing/estimating. Prior to joining Braklow Custom Homes, Joe was the Vice President of Construction Operations at Summit Custom Homes. Joe has spent over 20 years in construction management and currently resides with his family in Lees Summit, Missouri.

John Braklow, Vice President Corporate Controller:

John manages various corporate responsibilities regarding financial reporting and analysis, compliance, insurance, budget analysis, and several due diligence tasks as needed . Prior to joining Braklow Custom Homes, John was the Chief Financial Officer for Service One Corporation for eight years. John also spent 23 years as the Director of Operations Planning for Yellow Freight System's network of 650 transportation terminals nationwide. John currently resides in Overland Park, Kansas.

Kristen Summerson Braklow, Vice President New Home Design:

With more than twelve years of experience in the real estate and building industries, Kristen Braklow has closed over $220 million dollars in residential real estate for The Phil Summerson Group, an independently owned and operated affiliate of Better Homes & Gardens Kansas City Homes. Kristen brings a wealth of contract negotiation/transaction experience to our company while working closely with our architects and construction team to ensure the highest level of service, materials and finishes are being utilized in our projects. Kristen has remarkable abilities and a certain eye for detail that help make our homes stand out in the crowded building environment today.

Kristen was born in Overland Park and has lived in the Kansas City Area for more than 35 years. She earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Marketing from Kansas State University. Kristen is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Kansas and a licensed salesperson in Missouri. She has been married to Jerry for twelve years and is the most exceptional non-profit CEO of the Braklow household.

Christina Heene, Director of Sales & Marketing:

Christina manages day to day brand management and new home sales activities. Christina is consistently creating and deploy new real estate advertising campaigns along with the implementation of marketing initiatives not limited to: direct mail, email, collateral, signage, displays, ads (online and offline), company events and web content. Christina has a wealth of industries knowledge, having been in the construction industry over 10 years. As a licensed real estate agent, Christina is a dedicated asset to our organization, and we are lucky to have her.

Miranda Walters, Administrative Manager:

Miranda oversees all office support duties, accounting functions, warranty processing, and human resources. Prior to working with the Braklow Custom Homes Team, Miranda managed operations for several years with a Title company. Miranda currently resides in Edwardsville, Kansas with her growing family.
